Why it matters
A © line with your name isn't legally required, but it tells visitors (and copycats) who's behind the site and that the content is yours.
How to check it yourself
Scroll to the bottom of your site. No © line with a name means nothing on the page says who owns it.
What the fix involves
Add '© year, your name or company' to the footer and generate the year automatically so it never goes stale.
